Taghreed Maaytah, M.D., FAAP, CEO OF TLC of Amarillo

Dr. Maaytah is a board-certified in pediatric medicine and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, caring for children of the Panhandle of Texas and surrounding communities since 1995.

Dr. Maaytah received her medical degree from the University of Jordan Faculty of Medicine in Amman. She completed her pediatric residency at Kaiser Foundation Hospitals in Los Angeles, California, and the
University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine. Soon after completing her residency, Dr. Maaytah and her family moved to Amarillo, Texas, from Orange County, California.

Dr. Maaytah was the Chief of Pediatrics at Northwest Texas Hospital, and currently, she is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at Texas Tech University, Amarillo Center. Dr. Maaytah was voted three years in a row by AGN Media reader’s choice as the Best Pediatrician in Amarillo. Dr. Maaytah also received the American Top Pediatricians Award from the Consumer Research Console of America and was selected as one of Texas Favorite Physician
by Patients’ Choice. When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Maaytah enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Sarah Pillsbury - MSN, FNP-BC

Sarah is an Amarillo native who received her Masters of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner Board Certification from Texas Tech University. Sarah has enjoyed serving pediatric patients in the panhandle with TLC Pediatrics for over 5 years. She is married to her husband, Nathan, and they have two children. They most enjoy spending time with their family. In her spare time, Sarah also enjoys watching movies, fishing, and being outdoors. She is grateful for the faith entrusted in her to care for your children.

Amanda Owens - MS, PA

Mandy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry at the University of Minnesota in Duluth, Minnesota. She then worked at the University of Wisconsin Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin, for several years. She completed her Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. Mandy moved to Amarillo following graduation in 2009 and has called Amarillo her home ever since. Prior to starting at TLC in June of 2019, Mandy worked in Family Medicine and Urgent Care. She has worked with all ages of patients, but her passion is caring for children. Her favorite thing about working in pediatrics is that you get to know your patients and the families. As your patient grows, you can watch them develop their personalities and become independent. Mandy has extensive experience in minor surgical procedures, acute and chronic illness, and mental health.
