First Office Appointment

At TLC Pediatrics of Amarillo, we follow the guidelines of the American Academy of Pediatrics to ensure your newborn receives the best possible start. Your baby’s first office visit is typically scheduled within two to five days after hospital discharge.

During this visit, our provider will conduct a gentle and thorough head-to-toe evaluation of your baby. We will:

• Check your baby’s weight and growth
• Assess feeding and hydration
• Evaluate for jaundice and other common newborn conditions
• Answer any questions you may have and provide guidance on caring for your newborn at home

Our goal is to provide reassurance, support, and compassionate care, helping you feel confident and informed as you begin this exciting journey with your new baby.
