Same Day Sick Appointments

At TLC Pediatrics of Amarillo, we understand that when your child is sick, nothing is more important than getting timely, compassionate care. We make every effort to schedule same-day appointments for children who are ill, helping them feel better as quickly as possible.

To help us serve you efficiently, please call our office ahead of time, preferably in the morning, so we can minimize your wait. Our Triage Nurses are also available by phone to provide guidance and advice on your child’s symptoms.

Some common reasons for a same-day sick visit include:

• Vomiting and/or diarrhea
• Persistent rash or hives
• Mild dehydration
• Loss of appetite
• Fever above 102°F
• Malaise or unusual fatigue
• Sore throat

If your child is experiencing any of these symptoms, call us at 806-353-7900 to schedule a sick visit. Upon arrival, please use the “Sick” entrance to help protect other patients from exposure.

For after-hours concerns, our Nurse Line is available at 806-353-7900, staffed 24/7 to answer questions and provide guidance. In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
