Vaccines and Immunizations

TLC Pediatrics follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) guidelines for well care and immunizations. We believe that immunizations are an essential part of that care. Why Vaccines Matter

  • Protect against life-threatening illnesses like measles, mumps, whooping cough, polio, and meningitis
  • Prevent complications that can include neurological issues, hospitalization, or even death
  • Support community health by reducing the spread of disease

Our Approach

  • We provide personalized vaccine schedules tailored to each child
  • Administer vaccines with gentleness and care to minimize discomfort
  • Educate families with clear, evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions

Immunizations are the basis of preventative medicine. It makes sense to prevent very serious illnesses, such as measles or mumps, for which there are no treatments other than supportive care. Many carry devastating consequences such as meningitis, neurological sequelae, or death, so prevention is of utmost importance. With minor modifications, we follow and use the vaccine schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control for routine well child immunizations and screening tests. For more information on the AAP’s guidelines, please visit https://www.healthychildren.org/English/safety-prevention/immunizations/Pages/Recommended-Immunization-Schedules.aspx.
